phpBB version 3.3.13
I know this topic has come up again and again over many years but I still can't find a clear answer to the question of how to completely block bots from accessing and reading posts on my board.
I have activated all the bots that come pre-defined with phpBB. I have given the No access role to the Bots group in group permissions. I have also given the Bots group the No access role for all forums in group forum permissions.
In spite of that when I look at Who is online, I regularly see the Google [Bot] in the list and it says it is reading a topic in one of the forums. I know from ACP > General > Spiders/Bots that Bing [Bot] also visits.
I don't want ANY bot to have access to any part of my board and be able to index any pages on it.
Can somebody help me to achieve this, please?
