Interesting to have the backstory on that -- thanks. And yet these days, most forums have poster info on the left, so that is where my eyes automatically go. And of course I assume everyone is like me, right?phpBB2 was like that and most if not all forum software of that era. It was moved to the right with the first version of phpBB3 in 2007, I believe it was the first forum software to do that. The idea is that you read left to right so your focus is on the post instead of who posted it.
Our board is presently using a style called Milk_v2, which has the posters on the left. We're switching back to Prosilver, and it might be a little easier for our users to have the poster info stay where it is.
