I mostly use VS Code for PHP. It’s lightweight, fast, and has great extensions like PHP Intelephense that make coding easier. Plus, it’s free and works well with other languages if you need it.
Basically this for me as well.

VScode tuned for aesthetics and alot of default extensions disabled. PHP Intelephense (pro) for better PHP stuff, and a handful of other extensions to handle nginx config syntax, twig, better html handling. Plus a few nice to haves like CodeSnap for code screenshots, a private project switching extension for quickly opening windows, and bongo cat banging his drum as I write code.
