Detailed description of the tasks:
Hi all.
A very, very, very long time ago I had this board. This was a popular one with many posts and many perfectly working addon. Then things happened, the board was abandoned and for a very long time I procrastinated its upgrade.
Now I have a new board up and running with latest version of phpBB and it's working fine, I want to use the new one as my board.
BUT: for my old users and for nostalgic reasons, I want to provide a link to the past version of the board, obviously disabled and in read only version.
My old board is working just fine if I set my php version to 5.3. Obviously, nothing works in php 8.2 that I need for my new board.
Since importing the old db is futile, and doing this would prevent the old mods from working (and would require an incredible effort to do it eventually) I would just like to leave it as is, but readable.
I don't really mind if that would break the insertion of BBcodes or the like as no one will be posting there.
Just want to see the old board with the old styles, the old forums, the old topic and posts, the old profiles, the old pictures in phpBB gallery (all working now in php 5.3!
What should I do to make this magic happen?
